A Newly Imagined Luxury Retail Experience to Open in Dallas’ Design District — A Look Inside The Seam

The Seam, an upscale open-air retail and dining destination, is set to open in the Dallas Design District in the summer of 2026, featuring a curated selection of fine dining and luxury shopping, along with home and wellness concepts. Asana Partners purchased the 160,000-square-foot property in 2023 and will oversee a multi-million-dollar redevelopment, with Morris Adjmi Architects leading the design, known for creating spaces that foster community engagement. Inspired by neighborhoods like New York City's Meatpacking District, The Seam aims to blend vibrant nightlife, exceptional dining, and contemporary retail within an environment characterized by bold geometries and intimate courtyard gardens. The project will enhance pedestrian connectivity and establish The Seam as the social and geographical heart of the Design District, reflecting the area's cultural fabric.

“We reconfigured the site’s overall layout, removing portions of the existing complex that obstructed visual and physical connections to Slocum Street. This intervention not only opened up the site but also strengthened pedestrian linkages throughout the district to create a vibrant, seamlessly connected community hub that reflects and elevates the spirit of the area.”
